Blog #3 - Los Angeles Zoo Holiday Lights

I went to see the holiday lights at the Los Angeles Zoo during break. They had a lit arch that changed to different colors and patterns while you were standing under it. I loved seeing this arch because it reminded me of the holidays. The thing that I have noticed though since I started this class is that the reason that the lit arch made me feel like it was the holidays was because of the atmosphere and color that they decided to use. This thought over time has made me more observant of how color and light are used to make a different mood when looking at an object or scene; a lot more than I had previously. This was especially true for me when going to go see a theatre show. -Mikayla Slepicoff
